What is SNT IT Insurance?

SNT IT Insurance, is an "all risks" insurance policy, insuring laptops, projectors, desktops, peripherals and server installations against Theft, Accidental Damage, Fire and Flood.

It is particularly appropriate for the laptop user, in covering their equipment anywhere in the world. The policy has no excess and cover starts from less than £1 per week and your equipment can be up to two years old at the start of the policy term.

Who is covered?

The person named on the policy and their immediate family. In the case of businesses all members of staff are covered for use. In the case of educational establishments equipment is insured for use by staff, pupils and the pupils' immediate families. Friends and extended family are not covered by the policy.

What if I want to make a claim?

We send you a claim form by fax, email or post. Once we have received your claim our claims handler will try to contact you. If your equipment is damaged we will have it picked up by courier, inspected and repaired if possible. All repairs are covered by one-year's warranty.

If your equipment is beyond economic repair or has been stolen we will replace your equipment on a like for like basis. This is why we take the make, model, serial number and equipment value from you on inception of the policy. We will never supply to you a lower specification model and if your machine is no longer on the market we will send you a machine of equivalent specification.
